How to Clean Your Dog's Ears Effectively

Washing your dog's hearing on a regular basis can help avoid ear infections. If your dog already has an ear disease, it is very important to know how to fresh them thoroughly in order to get rid of the disease.

Steps

1. Gather the necessary items:
Ear better from veterinarian
Cotton paintballs and Q-tips
Ear drugs if recommended from veterinarian

2. Apply a liberal amount of ear better into the hearing.

3. Massage the hearing in a downwards movement squishing all the better down into the hearing.

4. Place a pure cotton football in the hearing, and force it down as far as you can. Massage the hearing in an way up movement now to force all the dirt/yeast/bacteria/wax up into the pure cotton football. Repeat this step several times with more pure cotton paintballs until no more grime and dust is coming out on the pure cotton football.

5. After thoroughly cleaning with the pure cotton paintballs, use Q-tips to get into small sized cracks of the ear. Once these cracks are fresh, then you are finished cleaning unless there is drugs that was recommended to you by the vet for an ear disease.

6. If your dog has drugs for an ear disease, after thoroughly washing the ear, squirt some of the drugs down into the hearing and massage the hearing in a downwards movement. Place a pure cotton football down into the hearing and massage the hearing in an way up movement. Wipe out any excess drugs with another pure cotton football.

Tips

This method can be used for kitties also, but you may want to tear the pure cotton paintballs in half so they can fit down into the hearing. Cats have smaller sized ear canals than pets. You may need to do this for small pets and puppies as well.
If your dog has an ear disease, be aware that this could be painful for your dog so you may need someone else to help you hold him/her while you fresh their hearing.

Warnings

Do not shove Q-tips too far down into the hearing to avoid any damage.
