Steps
1. Take a good look at your pet's fur.
If the flea attack is bad enough, you are going to see them right away, operating through your pet's fur or even moving off them. Ticks are small 1/16 inches (1.5 mm) to 1/8 inches (3 mm) long and are red-brown. They move fast and leap a range considering their size.
2. Use a special flea locks comb on your cat.
Flea hair combs are developed to snare fleas on the tooth of the locks comb. The tooth are so close together, the flea cannot evade and is then taken to the outer lining area. This will also be reliant on the amount of flea attack. If your cat has just a few fleas, you might not capture them in the flea locks comb.
3. Look at the pet's fur for flea dust.
The spend of a flea is generally known as flea dust. Run your hand through your pet's locks against the natural lay of the locks. If you come across a little area, or several little places, of black specks, this is flea dust. The use of flea dust means there are fleas somewhere on your cat.
If your cat has fleas and usually spends any moment in the home, your home probably has fleas in it. You will have little attacks on you or around your legs if the attack is bad enough.
Fill a superficial dish or pie tin with h2o and add a few falls of plate detergent. Place the plate of h2o beneath a heated mild. The mild attracts the fleas to it. They unintentionally leap into the water; the plate detergent makes them drain. Look into the h2o for fleas every morning hours.
Tips
Fleas have several lifestyle periods. Even though you don't find fleas initially, examine every few days to see if some appear. The best hint is continuous damaging by the kitties, even to the point of resulting in blisters.
